Working Environment

A minor observation:
In the Information Technology department where I work as a technical writer, a sign on the office frig has always brought out the mischief in me. It reads, “Foods without names will be subject to disposal without notification.” I’ve been tempted to place sticky notes on a few items, say “Colonel” on the mustard, or “L. Pasteur” on the coffee creamer.
It got the best of a computer wizard, too. As we silently waited turns for the microwave, he stared at the frig sign, and then ever-so-softly began to sing a 20-year old TV jingle, “My bologna has a first name. It‘s O-S-C-A-R. My bologna has a second name, it’s…”

Have you ever been so tempted at your office space?
